2012 Blogging
2012 was an eventful year for blogging. Most of the year, we were on my old blog. However, 2012 was also the year James and I got married and started our shop, Red Coat Studio. And the biggest blogging event for us? I ended my old blog, and started fresh, with James in hand, and we created our new blog here.
So I wanted to give a little recap / shout out to the blogs we have great relationships with.
In 2012 I had a chance to guest post on a really awesome blog, Grits and Moxie. Jennifer, hosted a photography month in November and I was lucky enough to be a part of it. You can see the post here. Sadly, the photos are gone. Some things get lost when you move blogs, but hey, that’s how it goes sometimes.
I also got to be a part of Erin’s Art Social blog, in her Be Happy Project. She sent me the cutest little notebook, and a very hip temporary tattoo “Hustle”. How very “gangsta” of her.
One of our favourite blog swap projects was with Domestically Unemployed. Kristen created a Hometown Swap in which she sent us items from her town in Florida, USA and we sent her items from Tamworth, UK. You can see what we sent her here.
We also have a very special relationship with Natalie aka Nelly from the Vanillery Garden. Not only is she one of our favourite bloggers, but she’s a very close friend of ours. At this point, Nelly is almost family, so be prepared for her to be mentioned a lot. Thankfully she is adorable, so we know you will love when she makes her appearances over here. In fact, be on the lookout for our new logo… she’s the one creating it for us because she’s awesome like that.
We also participate in some really fun blog hops with our blogging friends. Like our Wordless Wednesday we host with Trish’s Photos By Pab.
We cannot forget to mention our readers!!! Without you comments, and participation, well… it just wouldn’t be as fun. So thank you for all the love and support you’ve shown in our “blogging” move.
We hope you join us for more in 2013!
